Cemetery Burial Options
Building upon our experience of serving families, Cataraqui Cemetery continues to grow and evolve to meet the current cemetery needs of the community by providing a variety of interment options. Families may choose from our many traditional interment options or our increasingly popular cremation interment options. Our mature grounds are subdivided into unique sections featuring some of the most inspiring natural areas for contemplation and remembrance. The care and maintenance of our Cemetery remains as important today as it was in 1850. With a large inventory of single and family traditional burial plots, including our newest section which opened in 2009, Cataraqui Cemetery is positioned to serve many generations to come.
With an increase in the acceptance of cremation as an option, Cataraqui Cemetery continues to develop a wide offering of cremation interment options. In addition to a large selection of unique niches and columbarium, families may choose from a variety of cremation gardens. The cremation gardens are designated as "community" or "private" so that we may offer a selection of vibrant settings for the interment and memorialization of a loved one. Trees continue to be an important element of the Cemetery. With the introduction of a number of Tree Programs throughout Cataraqui Cemetery, we have combined a unique cremation interment option with the ability to maintain a healthy tree. We continue to explore ways to ensure a healthy tree population at Cataraqui Cemetery.
