Susan Irene Price

June 10, 1957 - October 25, 2015
Susan Irene Price

58, from Kingston, died peacefully at KGH in the early morning hours of October 25, 2015.  Susan was a kind, caring and gently spiritual person who was most happy spending time with family and her amazing friends at Rideau Acres Campground, where she maintained a summer residence for 28 years. She has passed on this residence to her family, who will continue to enjoy "The Breck" for many years, while holding memories of her close to their hearts. Sue was very charitable, as was demonstrated by her desire to work for the United Way after working at CKWS for 20 years.  She was most recently employed at Queen's University for the last 15 years. Sue was very concerned about social justice and was a courageous advocate for the LGBT community. She enjoyed writing poetry, photography, reading and in recent years, kayaking on the Rideau Canal.  Sue was born in Kingston Ont. on June 10, 1957, to Ron and Helen Price (both deceased). She will be sadly missed by her older brother Ron Price Jr. (Lana), her younger sisters Cindy Price (Tom Monahan) and Elizabeth Cashman (Mark Malinoff), younger brother Rich Raymond, and close friend Susan Hannah. She was always very interested in the lives of her many nieces and nephews – Lucas, Taylor, Andrew, Ryan, Michael, Zachary, Ashley, and Sean, who always brought a twinkle to Sue's eye.  The immediate family will have a private ceremony when Sue's remains will be laid to rest at Cataraqui Cemetery.  A joyful celebration of Susan's life will take place on Friday October 30, 7:00 pm at the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, where everyone is welcome. Music will be played and memories of this wonderful woman will be shared well into the night, just as she wanted it to be.  In lieu of flowers, Sue has requested charitable contributions to World Vision (where she sponsored several children over the years), The Boys and Girls Club of Kingston, or The Canadian Cancer Society.

Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
