NOTICE: As an essential service, we remain open and available, by appointment only, during this COVID-19 crisis so that we may continue to care for the families of our community.  Face coverings are required inside all buildings.

Continuously owned and operated for 169 years, Cataraqui Cemetery and Funeral Services is Kingston's not-for-profit choice for cemetery, monument, cremation and funeral services. We meet the ever changing needs and diverse wishes of today's families by providing simpler options, comprehesive services, added choices more convenient arrangements  and most importantly... value.

Since 1850, we continue as the same community minded,  not for profit cemetery,  but with more services than offered by traditional cemeteries or funeral homes.  Long trusted by the diverse community we share; our volunteer Board of Trustees and professional staff are committed to maintaining a high standard of client care by offering families a wide range of practical bereavement related services.   Additionally, as the stewards of this nationally recognized historic cemetery, we safeguard the final resting places of any individuals, families and the civic history of the region we share.

With plenty of acres still to be landscaped and developed for new interment options, the 91+ acre cemetery is a treasure to all Canadians.  Cataraqui Cemetery is the final resting place of many generations of Kingstonians; including two fathers of Confederation, Sir Alexander Campbell and Sir John A. Macdonald, Canada's first Prime Minister.  We share our community's great pride in that the Cemetery is designated as a National Historic Site of Canada as well as an Ontario Cultural Heritage Landmark.  Families can rest assured knowing that Cataraqui Cemetery will be preserved for many more generations to come.
